Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • At least 2 years’ experience in administration, filing and data capturing
  • At least 1 year of experience in order receipt and processing
  • Computer literacy and MS Office skills
  • Fluent English
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or SAP SRM is advantageous
  • Knowledge of the Health and Safety Act
  • Valid Code B (Code 08) driver’s licence

Key Responsibilities

The Transport Administrator will:

  • Coordinate and maintain transport documentation and records.
  • Schedule vehicles and routes for drivers.
  • Capture vehicle checklists, delivery and collection sheets, fines and proof of deliveries.
  • File insurance claims, SOPs, deviation reports and non-conformances.
  • Answer telephone calls and provide administrative support.
  • Organise meetings, minutes, travel arrangements and departmental documents.
  • Monitor documentation for accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Support the administration of the fleet management system.
  • Ensure transport records are captured and filed correctly.
  • Work with Dispatch Controllers and other transport staff to ensure smooth operations.
