This 12-month internship offers recent engineering graduates hands-on experience in testing, diagnostics, and quality assurance in one of South Africa’s leading smart mobility environments.

Key Responsibilities

As an Intern Test Technician, you will:

  • Prepare and sequence test programs as outlined in defined test plans.
  • Execute and document testing sequences according to Siemens standards.
  • Conduct diagnostic measures and assess results when deviations occur.
  • Support quality improvement and system development initiatives.
  • Maintain and update testing manuals and documentation.
  • Provide electrical or mechanical support for peripheral equipment.
  • Perform low-level testing of the Interlocking System.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
  • Friday: 07:00 – 13:00
  • Overtime and weekend work as required.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Matric (N3) qualification with Electrical Trade or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • No prior work experience required — ideal for recent graduates.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and disciplined.
  • Willingness to work on-site and adhere to Siemens safety standards.
