About the Eskom YES Programme 2026

The Eskom YES Programme 2026 gives young South Africans the opportunity to gain practical experience in the electricity and energy industry. Successful candidates will be placed within Eskom Operations in KwaZulu-Natal.

This programme is ideal for youth who are:

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Eskom YES Programme 2026, applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be between 18 and 34 years old
  • Have Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
  • OR hold a post-matric certificate/programme/N3 Electrical Engineering

Selection Criteria

Applicants must meet the following YES Programme conditions:

  • Must not have been permanently employed with a single employer for more than 1 year
  • Must not be studying full-time during the year of employment
  • Must not have previously participated in or registered for the YES initiative
  • Must successfully pass the Eskom recruitment process
