Minimum Requirements

To be considered for Driver Messenger job, applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • A valid Code C1 driver’s licence with PrDP
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience

Core Responsibilities

The Driver Messenger will:

  • Deliver, collect, load and offload documents, goods and equipment between internal and external departments
  • Ensure all driving and transport tasks meet the required quality standards
  • Plan and organise daily tasks efficiently
  • Handle all information with strict confidentiality
  • Maintain the allocated municipal vehicle, including daily cleaning
  • Ensure the vehicle is serviced and maintained according to fleet management guidelines
  • Report any accidents or incidents as per loss control procedures
  • Adhere to policies, procedures and operational standards to ensure smooth service delivery
