Work Integrated Learning Programme Overview

Upon successful completion, participants will be deemed competent as entry-level operators within the organisation.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering and/or Pulp & Paper Technology
- Minimum 60% average pass rate
- Requirement for P1 & P2 practical experience to complete qualification
- Valid South African driver’s license
Advantageous
- Completed P1 & P2 practical experience in a heavy industry environment
Key Deliverables
During the programme, learners will:
- Develop basic SAP and Microsoft system skills
- Apply chemical safety knowledge
- Perform entry-level production tasks (housekeeping, pre-start checks, plant start-ups and shutdowns)
- Conduct routine checks to minimize equipment failures
- Ensure safe process operation according to company procedures
- Assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement
