Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Dis-Chem Store Cleaner position, you must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- At least 6 months’ cleaning experience
- Good English communication
- Basic customer service skills
- Ability to work retail hours
- Advantageous: bilingual and previous retail cleaning experience
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Store Cleaner at Dis-Chem, you will:
- Maintain high hygiene standards across all store areas
- Clean the shop floor, communal spaces, stock room, canteen, and restrooms
- Use correct cleaning products and equipment
- Keep restrooms fully stocked
- Ensure wet floor signs are placed correctly for customer safety
- Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Follow all Health and Safety Regulations
- Maintain a neat and presentable appearance
