Join Our Team as a Picker Packer (Grade D)

GLC Warehouse is seeking a motivated and reliable Picker Packer to join our operations team in Johannesburg. This opportunity is open to suitably qualified individuals, with preference given to current team members and candidates who contribute to our Employment Equity Plan goals (race, gender, and disability).

Key Responsibilities

As a Picker Packer, you will:

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in your area during duties
  • Follow picking (GLC743218) and binning (GLC743219) procedures accurately
  • Collaborate with team members and assist when needed
  • Work overtime when required to meet deadlines
  • Meet a picking rate of 19 lines per hour
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of picked parts to correct chutes
  • Secure all picked items to prevent damage or loss
  • Store all work equipment in the designated areas when not in use
  • Follow all OHS Act Section 14 requirements and safety protocols
  • Report any unsafe conditions or actions promptly

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

  • Matric (Grade 12) and ABET Level 4 qualification
  • Minimum 1 year warehouse experience
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of spare parts identification and verification
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to work overtime when required

Bonus Advantage: Crane and forklift licenses will be highly advantageous
