Learnership Programme Overview

This 36-month Engineering Learnership Programme (18.2) offers:

  • Structured workplace learning and trade-related training.
  • The opportunity to obtain a recognized MQA/QCTO Trade Test Certificate upon successful completion.
  • Exposure to a variety of engineering trades.

Available Trades:

  • Electrician (x1)
  • Fitter (Fitting and Turning) (x1)
  • Boilermaker (x1)
  • Diesel Mechanic (x1)
  • Millwright (x1)
  • Instrumentation Mechanician (x1)

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend all theoretical and practical learnership training.
  • Comply with all mine Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.
  • Wear and maintain correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
  • Maintain punctuality, discipline, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (Mathematical Literacy not accepted).
  • N2 Engineering Studies or higher with all relevant subjects passed at minimum 40% OR NCV Level 4 in the relevant trade with all subjects passed at minimum 40%.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proof of residence and the high school attended.
  • Ability to obtain a Medical Fitness Certificate.
  • South African citizen.
