About the IT Internship at Afrimat
Afrimat Management Services is offering an exciting IT Internship opportunity in Kathu, Northern Cape. This 12-month internship is ideal for young candidates who have a strong interest in computers, networks, and information technology, and who are eager to gain hands-on workplace experience in a mining environment.
The programme provides practical exposure, on-the-job training, and an opportunity to develop administrative, technical, and interpersonal skills while working across various Afrimat operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide basic IT and administrative support
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional conduct
- Show commitment to Afrimat values and work ethics
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities
- Support team projects and daily operational activities
- Apply problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Maintain consistent attendance and reliability

Minimum Requirements
- Must be based in Kathu, Northern Cape
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate (required)
- Code 8 driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various sites
- Strong interest in computers, IT systems, and networks
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and be trained
- Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
