MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
  • Computer literacy and accuracy
  • Recommendation/nomination as ICCV from a community organisation (not older than 6 months)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Sound knowledge of Batho Pele principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

Added advantage:

  • Valid driver’s licence

📌 Preference will be given to applicants living near the correctional centre.

KEY DUTIES

Successful candidates will:

  • Visit the correctional facility daily
  • Engage with inmates and DCS officials on complaints
  • Monitor conditions of incarceration
  • Report on deaths, segregation, restraints and use of force
  • Support JICS officials during inspections and investigations
  • Capture inmate complaints and mandatory matters
  • Compile detailed administrative reports
