Job Overview (Housekeeper Vacancy)

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a high standard of cleanliness across our Somerset West facilities. This role offers an opportunity to take pride in your work while contributing to a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain designated facility areas including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, ceiling vents, and restrooms.
  • Perform routine inspections and document outcomes.
  • Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure walkways are clear and free of debris.
  • Notify management of any repairs or maintenance needs.
  • Mix and dispose of cleaning solutions safely and according to regulations.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of cleaning experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning appliances, equipment, and chemical agents.
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • No criminal record, clear health record, and clear credit record.
  • Solid professional references.

Working Hours & Remuneration

  • 16.25 shifts per month, Monday to Sunday according to roster.
  • Shifts: 07h00 – 19h00.
  • Salary depends on experience, qualifications, skills, and attributes.
  • Sundays: time and a half; public holidays: double pay (not included in base salary).
