Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Assistant Storeman vacancy, you must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum ABET qualification
- No experience required
- Good communication skills (English)
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
- Physical fitness and strength
- Ability to perform warehouse duties and follow instructions
Duties and Responsibilities
As the Assistant Storeman, your duties will include:
- Receiving and sorting equipment from Transito into the warehouse
- Allocating bin numbers to items without bins
- Recording all items received in the register
- Submitting documents to the Chief Warehouseman for signature
- Assisting with equipment storage and maintenance
- Dispatching equipment and materials as instructed
- Recording all dispatched items in the register
- Ensuring recipients sign for equipment
- Maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse
