Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Grade 10, ABET, AET, or equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Basic literacy and numeracy.
    • Ability to read and write.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of cleaning products, materials, and equipment.
    • Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
    • Teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
    • Client focus and responsiveness.
    • Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles and health and safety measures.
    • Punctuality, productivity, and good behavior towards customers.

Duties

As a Cleaner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning offices, storerooms, corridors, elevators, and boardrooms.
  • Dusting, removing waste, and providing water during meetings.
  • Refilling aqua coolers, washing walls, and cleaning windows.
  • Cleaning kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Scrubbing toilets and polishing office floors.
  • Vacuum cleaning using vacuum machines.
  • Providing toilet paper in restrooms.
  • Maintaining cleaning materials and equipment.
